Yes, this thoughtfulness can apply in every service industry. Pre-pandemic, I helped plan many Live events with various organizations including: MIT, Harvard, TEDx, Equinox, Microsoft, and Boston Fashion Week. I too followed these principles, to ensure each attendee's experience was worthwhile, inspiring, and memorable.

... But now, in our increasingly digitized era, full of screens and scams, can we still replicate these standards of hospitality, while providing our services ... ONLINE? From both my:

  1. Master's in Educational Technology &
  2. Running an online business for 13+ years

Here's what I've discovered ...

I believe the magic of human connection can translate online - (albeit less ... embodied). We can still

  • Greet people by their first name
  • Create little moments of surprise
  • Give them more than they expect
  • Go "from black and white, to technicolor"
