Venture Capitalist and high profile "Biohacker" - Bryan Johnson spent $2M learning how to extend his life - (which obviously includes plenty of sunblock)

 

In this 1-minute video, he lists his top takeaways

It goes FAST - so I've pasted the list below for you . . .

 

  1. Sleep is the most powerful drug - Be in your bed for 8 hours
  2. Same bedtime every night (any time before midnight)
  3. Don't eat right before bed
  4. Eat calm foods for dinner
  5. No screens 1 hour before bed
  6. Avoid added sugars, fried foods, and all things in American convenience stores
  7. Shoes off at the door
  8. Eat whole foods
  9. Walk a little bit after meals (or do air squats)
  10. Get your heart rate high routinely
  11. Lift heavy things
  12. Stretch daily
  13. Water pick, floss, brush & tongue scrape - morning and night
  14. Make an effort to drink water
  15. Get sunlight when you wake up
  16. Protect skin in midday sun
  17. Stand up straight
  18. See at least one friend a week
  19. Avoid plastic where you can
  20. Circulate air in rooms
  21. When stressed, breathe
  22. Go to the dentist
  23.  Avoid sitting for long times
  24. Protect your hearing
  25. Alcohol is bad for you 
  26. Finish coffee before noon
  27. Avoid bright lights after sunset 
  28. If obese, look into GLPs
  29. Sleep in a cold room
  30. Texting while driving is dangerous
  31. Turn off all notifications 
  32. Limit social media use
  33. Don't smoke anything
  34. Read a book before bed
  35. Have a 1-hour wind-down routine (The body is a clock and loves routine)
  36. Avoid long-distance travel 
  37. Do less - (most things don't work)
